World Lit Workshop: Short Story Essentials with Cate Kennedy
Refresh your inspiration with a short workshop on the essential elements of a great short story. If you have one or more unfinished stories languishing in the bottom drawer because you can't see how to 'fix' them, come along to take part in an energised morning exploring how characterisation, narrative, dialogue and imagery can all work together to let you get to the heart of your piece of fiction and give it maximum impact.
Cate Kennedy has taught masterclasses in the short story form in Australia and internationally and has published two collections herself and edited several more. Her work has appeared in many journals and magazines around the world including The New Yorker, Harvard Review, English Women's Weekly, The Big Issue, and World Literature Today magazine.
